Privacy

• No cookies and no local or session storage for tracking. The ZIP checker and the nearby-ZIP finder keep their state in the page URL only.
• No accounts, logins, or passwords.
• No advertising, profiling, or data sales. No personal data is sold or shared for marketing.
• No cross-site tracking, fingerprinting, or individual visitor profiles. Analytics are reported as aggregate counts, not per person.
• No email list. The site publishes an RSS feed instead of collecting addresses.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see which pages are used and whether they load quickly. It is cookieless and does not store anything in your browser. Cloudflare states that it does not fingerprint individuals, track you across sites, or log query strings.

What is measured: page views, the referring site, country and region, browser and device type, and Core Web Vitals (loading speed). No names, email addresses, or precise locations.

Where it goes: the small measurement script is served from static.cloudflareinsights.com and reports to /cdn-cgi/rum on this domain. It is the only analytics tool on the site; there are no tag managers, advertising pixels, or session recorders.

How long it is kept: Cloudflare keeps unsampled measurements for 7 days, then aggregates them (about a 10% sample) for long-term storage. The dashboard shows up to 6 months. We do not connect these counts to anything else, because there is nothing else to connect them to.

Limits: some ad blockers and privacy browsers block the measurement script. When that happens your visit is simply not counted; the site works the same.

• If you email us, we receive your address, the message, and whatever you choose to include. It is kept only to answer you and is not added to any list. Ask us to delete it and we will.
• Server logs. The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes IP addresses and request metadata to deliver pages and block abuse. We do not combine those logs with anything else or use them to identify visitors.
• Third-party requests. Loading a page fetches the analytics script from static.cloudflareinsights.com, the map library from unpkg.com, map tiles from OpenFreeMap, and (only if you enable satellite imagery) tiles from USGS. Those providers receive your IP address and basic request headers, as any web request does. The site uses no third-party fonts or advertising trackers.

You can browse with JavaScript disabled: tables, reports, and the ZIP checker's data file still load, though the interactive map will not. If you have emailed us and want your message deleted, write to [email protected] and we will remove it.

The site is a business research tool, not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

• 2026-10-19: added cookieless aggregate analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics). No cookies, identifiers, or profiles were introduced.

If this policy changes again — for example, if an email newsletter is added later — the change will be dated here and posted to the update feed before it takes effect.
